About

The BC Groundwater Wire is an independent publication for rural British Columbia. We gather scattered groundwater information—government updates, licensing changes, drought conditions, and well and aquifer facts—and turn it into short, plain-language briefings that explain what matters and what it means for your land, farm, property, or project.

Colleen Roberts and her team write The Wire, drawing on over three decades in BC's groundwater industry. It is not a government publication and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any government body.

Subscribers receive the monthly briefing by email, plus occasional dispatches when something real happens—a drought order, an enforcement action, or a deadline that matters. When we get something wrong, we say so and fix it visibly.
