The BC Groundwater Wire provides general information and practical guidance about groundwater, wells, licensing, drought, and water risk in British Columbia. Nothing published here guarantees a groundwater outcome, and nothing here replaces professional legal, engineering, geoscience, hydrogeological, or regulatory advice for a specific property. For property-specific work, a paid engagement with appropriate professional involvement is required.
Independent, Not Government
The Wire is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any government body. The rules are the Province’s. Where the Wire describes one, it links to the Province’s own page so you can read it for yourself. Who publishes the Wire, and what else they do, is on the About page.
Dates and Corrections
Every changelog entry shows the date its sources were last checked, and every post shows the date it was published. When we get something wrong, we say so and fix it visibly. If you see an error, write to hello@BCGroundwaterWire.ca.
